Synopsis

From the Broadway writing team of David Zellnik and Eric Svejcar comes this NEW musical Loveville High. The story of a prom told from the perspectives of 13 different teens.  Everyone remembers their prom.  The excitement, friends, that special someone, and every moment of that magical night.  Loveville High takes the audience through an emotional journey.  Everyone will find themselves in these characters.  Come experience a heartwarming, funny, and touching evening with characters we all know or knew from high school.  

Loveville High is a brand new musical that originally launched as a nine episode podcast.  Downriver Actors Guild has received the rights to take this amazing piece of theater and bring it to the screen.  This is the first time the production has been performed outside of the podcast.  You don't want to miss this exclusive event.

David Zellnik (Book and Lyrics) Musicals include: book and lyrics for the Off-Broadway musical Yank! (composer: Joseph Zellnik) which received 7 Drama Desk nominations, incl. book and lyrics, as well as nominations from the Outer Critics’ Circle, and Lucille Lortel Foundation. The CD was released by PS Classics and there have been several regional productions from 2014–2018. Manchester and London 2017, Rio de Janeiro (in Portuguese) 2017, where it won Brazil’s national theatre award, and Brisbane, Australia 2019. David has also worked with Disney Theatricals to create Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. (music: Eric Svejcar) which has been licensed over 7500 time in the past 9 years. Eric Svejcar (Music) Composing credits include Caligula, an Ancient Glam Epic which won the Audience Award at the inaugural New York Musical Theatre Festival, A Rockin’ Midsummer Night’s Dream which was the subject of the feature documentary Midsummer In Newtown (Tribeca Film Festival), The Murder of Isaac for Centerstage Baltimore, and songs for White Noise (NYMF/ABC Primetime). With David Zellnik, he adapted Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. which has been performed thousands of times across the US and around the world. On Broadway he conducted the Roundabout/Deaf West revival of Big River and played in the pit orchestras of The Little Mermaid (Lunt-Fontanne) and A Chorus Line (City Center). He music directed the 2006 off-Broadway revival of Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris (recorded by Sh-K-Boom Records) and has music directed several shows for the York Theatre’s Musicals In Mufti series.
