Board of Directors Elections
2nd Street Performing Arts Center is accepting nominations for the 2021 - 2022 Board of Directors. Below is the nomination form for those interested in running for a open position. A list of positions and their descriptions are provided below.
If you are interested in running for a Board of Directors position please fill out the form below and submit your nomination by May 14, 2020. Individuals interested in running for Vice President, Documentation Secretary, or Advocate must have served for one year on the Board prior to being nominated for those positions.
Elections will be held on June 14, 2020.
Position Descriptions
Vice President
Vice President shall act as the president/chair in his or her absence; assists the
president/chair on the above or other specified duties.
Documentation Secretary
The Documentation Secretary shall be responsible for keeping all documents relating to the organization. Is responsible to keep all documentation up to date and insure that copies are available at the theater.
Advocate
The Advocate keeps order. If other board members or meeting attendees are disruptive, the advocate may warn them and, in extreme cases, eject them from the
meeting.
Trustee
(3 Open Positions)
The trustee will vote on matters regarding policy, approve the annual budget, provide
financial oversight, update the strategic plan, and evaluate progress toward achieving this
plan.

Nomination and Voting Information
Nominations
Nominations must be submitted to the Recording Secretary no later than 30 days prior to elections. Please submit your nomination by completing the nomination form above. Nominations must be received by May 14, 2021.
A person can only be nominated for one position.
Nominations must include person nominated and position.
Anyone requesting to be nominated for an officer position (eg. President, Vice-President, Secretaries, Advocate, or Treasurer) must have served on the board of directors the previous year.
Voting
Voting will be held at the General Membership Meeting on June 14, 2020 at 7:00 pm at the Catherine A. Daly Theater on the Avenue. 2656 Biddle, Ave., Wyandotte, MI 48192. You must arrive at the meeting no later than 7:45 pm to be eligible to vote.
Voting must be in person. All members in good standing may submit one ballot.
Absentee – members may have the option to vote absentee.
- Members wishing to vote absentee must vote in person.
- Members will have a two week window prior to the elections to cast their ballot.
- Members must contact the secretary to make arrangements to cast their ballot.
Proxy – Not accepted.
